Exploring the values and ideas that make various communities uniquely distinctive
Exploring the Literary community of Polyphony Lit
From my perspective, I think Polyphony Lit is driven by a curiosity for young editors to learn new skills, embrace unfamiliar texts, and bring ideas to the table. We constantly have new projects with a uniting goal to share the diversity of expressions, thought, and artistic talent of teens around the world: from the Voices Blog series channeling different heritages and identities, the Queer Issue is Now Anthology where we often collaborate or receive support from organizations that recognize our mission, the Poetry on Demand Pop-Up project that allows readers of all generations to hear what young poets can say in such a spontaneous, improvisatory process, and the ongoing Writer's Block Party that brings our community together with different themes and prompts (there's also a Secret Santa exchange that happens), Polyphony Lit really inspires us to think about all the possibilities that can happen with writing and connecting people together through writing.
